Removal and Installation

1. Remove the steering column assembly. For additional information, refer to Steering Column Steering Column.

2. Remove the insert plate and the Brake Shift Interlock Actuator (BSIA) bolts.

3. NOTE: The BSIA clip is an assembly aid for the assembly plant and does not need to be replaced.

Remove the insert plate from the BSIA.

- Remove and discard the BSIA clip.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
