Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor electrical connector.

3. Remove the OSS sensor screw.

4. Remove the OSS sensor from the transmission.

Installation

1. NOTE: Inspect the OSS sensor O-ring for damage. If damaged, install a new O-ring.

Inspect and lubricate the O-ring with petroleum jelly.
Install the OSS sensor into the transmission.

2. Install the OSS sensor screw.
- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

3. Connect the OSS sensor electrical connector.
