Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting Service and Repair.

2. Remove the vehicle harness in-line connector from the transmission support crossmember and position it aside.





3. Remove the LH heat shield bolt.





4. Remove the transmission support crossmember. For additional information, refer to Full Frame and Body Mounting Service and Repair.

5. Remove the transmission insulator and retainer bolts.





6. Remove the transmission insulator and retainer.

Installation

1. Position the transmission insulator and retainer on the extension housing.

2. Install the transmission insulator and retainer bolts. Make sure the exhaust isolator is installed.
- Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).





3. Install the transmission support crossmember. For additional information, refer to Full Frame and Body Mounting Service and Repair.

4. Install the LH heat shield bolt.
- Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).





5. Install the vehicle harness in-line connector to the transmission support crossmember.
