Oil Pump: Service and Repair




Oil Pump





Removal

1. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Oil Pan Service and Repair.

2. Remove the crankshaft sprocket. For additional information, refer to Timing Drive Components Removal and Replacement.

3. Remove the 3 bolts and the oil pump.





Installation

1. NOTE: Lubricate the new O-ring seal with clean engine oil.

Clean and inspect the mating surfaces and install a new O-ring seal.


2. Install the oil pump and loosely install the 3 bolts.
- Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).






3. Install the crankshaft sprocket. For additional information, refer to Timing Drive Components Removal and Replacement.

4. Install the oil pan. For additional information, refer to Oil Pan Service and Repair.
