Power Steering Pump to Steering Gear Pressure Line - 2.0L GTDI

Removal

NOTICE: While repairing the power steering system, care should be taken to prevent the entry of foreign material or failure of the power steering components may result.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

3. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
- To install, tighten the new bolt to 26 Nm (19 lb-ft).

- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).






6. NOTICE: Install a new banjo bolt and seals any time the power steering pressure line is disconnected from the steering gear, or a fluid leak may occur.

Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).






Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Fill the power steering system.
