Removal

1. Position aside the front door weatherstrip.

2. NOTICE: The A-pillar assist handle bolt covers have a tether attaching them to the assist handle and do not come off the assist handle.

RH (Right Hand) side only, remove the A-pillar assist handle.

1. Remove the 2 A-pillar assist handle bolt covers.

2. Remove the 2 A-pillar assist handle bolts and the A-pillar assist handle.

3. Pull outward on the A-pillar trim panel to release the clips and remove the trim panel.

Installation

NOTICE: To avoid damage to the A-pillar trim panel, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the A-pillar trim panel before installing.

1. Install the A-pillar trim panel onto the body, making sure to engage all the clips.

2. RH (Right Hand) side only, install the A-pillar assist handle.

1. Install the 2 A-pillar assist handle bolts.
- Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

2. Install the 2 A-pillar assist handle bolt covers.

3. Position back the front door weatherstrip.
