Seat Backrest - Power

Disassembly

NOTE: For component identification and locations, REFER to Seat - Exploded View .

1. Remove the affected seat backrest. For additional information, REFER to Seat Backrest - Power .

2. Remove the backrest cover. REFER to Seat Backrest Cover - Power .

3. Remove the backrest foam pad.

4. Remove the head restraint in the following sequence.

1. Detach the head restraint release cable and conduit from the backrest frame.

2. Remove the 2 head restraint bolts.
- To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).

3. Remove the 2 head restraint nuts.
- To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).

4. Remove the head restraint and route the cable out of the backrest frame.

Assembly

1. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
