Transmission Control Module (TCM)

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

1. NOTICE: Keep the TCM (Transmission Control Module) electrical connector straight when disconnecting it or damage to the connector terminals can occur.

Slide the lock tab up and disconnect the TCM (Transmission Control Module) electrical connector.





2. Remove the 2 TCM (Transmission Control Module) nuts and remove the TCM (Transmission Control Module).





Installation

1. Install the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and the 2 TCM (Transmission Control Module) nuts.
- Torque: 20 Nm (177 lb-in).





2. NOTICE: Keep the TCM (Transmission Control Module) electrical connector straight when connecting it or damage to the connector terminals can occur.

Connect the TCM (Transmission Control Module) electrical connector and slide the lock tab down to lock the connector.





3. Restore the module configuration. Carry out the module configuration restore steps of the PMI (Programmable Module Installation) procedure. REFER to Module Configuration .

4. Using the scan tool, download the solenoid body strategy. REFER to Solenoid Body Strategy Download .
