Transmission Case




Transmission Case

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Disassembly

1. NOTE: Press the bushing out of the transmission case from the outside to the inside so that the transmission case rests on a flat surface.
Using 206-084/2 and a press, remove and discard the LH (Left Hand) transmission case bushing from the transmission case.





2. Remove the differential ring gear snap ring.





3. Remove the differential ring gear.





Assembly

1. Install the differential ring gear in the torque converter housing.





2. NOTICE: Be sure the flat side of the beveled snap ring is facing down or the ring can come loose, causing damage to the transmission.

Install the beveled differential ring gear snap ring with the flat side facing down.





3. Seat the snap ring.





4. Assemble 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) and the 307-664 and install a new bushing on 307-664.





5. Using 205-153 (T80T-4000-W) and 307-664 , install the new bushing in the transmission case.
