Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)




Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) - 2.0L GTDI

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting .

2. Loosen the 4 retainers and remove the underbody shield.





3. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the sensor threads with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.
Detach and disconnect the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) electrical connector. Using the 303-476 (T94P-9472-A) , remove the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor).
- Calculate the correct torque wrench setting for the following torque, REFER to Torque Wrench Adapter Formulas .
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).





Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor).
