Pinch Strip Switch

Removal

NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.

1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. REFER to Liftgate Trim Panel .

2. Disconnect the pinch strip switch electrical connector.





3. Remove the 3 pin-type retainers and the push pin.





4. Remove the pinch strip switch.
- Remove the rubber grommet and route the electrical connector out of the liftgate.






Installation

NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.

1. Route the pinch strip switch electrical connector through the liftgate and install the rubber grommet.





2. Connect the electrical connector.





3. Install the 3 pin-type retainers and the push pin.





4. Install the liftgate trim panel. REFER to Liftgate Trim Panel .
