Component Description

Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module (DCSM)

The DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module) controls the operation of the climate controlled seat system. The DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module) communicates on the MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network). PMI (Programmable Module Installation) must be carried out using a scan tool when installing a new DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module).

Front Display Interface Module (FDIM)

The FDIM (Front Display Interface Module) (touchscreen) contains the climate seat control buttons. For additional information, REFER to Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) (if equipped with Premium Plus) or REFER to Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) (if equipped with Sony(R) Sound).

Thermo-Electric Device

The seat cushion and backrest are each equipped with a TED (Thermo-Electric Device) assembly that includes a seat blower (fan motor, serviced as an assembly with the TED (Thermo-Electric Device)). There is also a temperature sensor (thermistor) in each TED (Thermo-Electric Device) which provides feedback to the DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module). The TEDs (Thermo-Electric Devices) are controlled by the DCSM (Dual Climate Controlled Seat Module).
