Removal

1. NOTE: The radial arm adapter is a serviceable item. Do not replace the generator if the radial arm adapter is the only concern.
Disconnect the battery. REFER to Battery Disconnect .

2. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. REFER to Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud - 3.5L Ti-VCT .

3. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner clockwise and position the accessory drive belt aside.

4. Position the generator B+ terminal protective cover aside, remove the nut and position the generator B+ terminal aside.
- To install, tighten to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).

5. Disconnect the generator electrical connector.

6. Remove the RH (Right Hand) fender splash shield. REFER to Fender Splash Shield .

7. Fully loosen the generator bolt.
- To install, tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).

8. Remove the generator stud nut.
- To install, tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).

9. Remove the generator stud and the generator.
- To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
