Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair




Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor - 5.0L (4V)

Removal

1. Remove the intake manifold.

2. Disconnect the Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor electrical connector.

3. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.

4. NOTE: The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor bolt is part of the CKP (Crankshaft Position) sensor and cannot be removed.
Loosen the bolt and remove the CKP (Crankshaft Position) sensor.


Installation

1. NOTE: The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor bolt is part of the CKP (Crankshaft Position) sensor and cannot be removed.
Position the CKP (Crankshaft Position) sensor and tighten the bolt.

- Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).


2. Connect the CKP (Crankshaft Position) sensor electrical connector.

3. Connect the CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) sensor electrical connector.

4. Install the intake manifold.
