Disassembly

NOTE: For component identification and locations, refer to Seat - Exploded View, Third Row .

1. Remove the affected seat backrest. For additional information, refer to Seat Backrest- Third Row, Power Seat Backrest - Third Row, Power.

2. Release the backrest cover upper J-clip under the head restraint.

3. NOTICE: Use care when separating the backrest cover from the hook-and-loop strips, or the hook-and-loop strips may be torn from the backrest foam pad.

Separate the hook-and-loop strips, invert the backrest cover all the way up and remove.
- At assembly, feed the straps back through the backrest cover.


4. Remove the backrest foam pad.

5. Remove the 2 head restraint bolts.
- To install, tighten to 4 Nm (35 lb-in).


6. Remove the head restraint in the following sequence.
1. Detach the head restraint release cable and conduit from the backrest frame.

2. Remove the 2 head restraint nuts.
- To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).

3. Remove the head restraint and route the cable out of the backrest frame.


7. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
