Hood: Service and Repair



Hood

Removal

1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).

2. Remove the hood insulator pushpin retainers and the hood insulator.







3. Disconnect the washer hose and pin-type retainers and position aside the washer hose.







4. NOTE: LH shown, RH side similar.

Loosen but do not remove the hood-to-hinge nuts.







5. With the help of an assistant, remove the hood-to-hinge nuts and the hood.

Installation

1. NOTE: LH shown, RH side similar.

With the help of an assistant, position the hood to the vehicle and install the hood-to-hinge nuts.
Torque: 11 Nm







2. Connect the washer hose and install the pin-type retainers.







3. Adjust the hood to specification.
Refer to: Hood Alignment (501-03 Body Closures, General Procedures).

4. Install the hood insulator and the pushpin retainers.
