Hood: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Remove the hood insulator pushpin retainers and the hood insulator.





2. Disconnect the washer hose and pin-type retainer and position aside the washer hose.





3. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
Loosen but do not remove the hood-to-hinge nuts.





4. With the help of an assistant, remove the hood-to-hinge nuts and the hood.

Installation

1. NOTE: LH (Left Hand) side shown, RH (Right Hand) side similar.
With the help of an assistant, position the hood to the vehicle and install the hood-to-hinge nuts.
- 11 Nm (97 lb-in)





2. Connect the washer hose and install the pin-type retainer.





3. Adjust the hood to specification. REFER to Hood Alignment .

4. Install the hood insulator and the pushpin retainers.
