Liftgate Alignment

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

General Procedure

1. Remove the liftgate scuff plate. REFER to Scuff Plate Trim Panel - 5-Door Hatchback, Luggage Compartment .

2. Remove the liftgate striker bolts and striker.

3. Loosen the 4 liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts until the liftgate is able to move slightly.





4. Align the liftgate to the body. REFER to Body Dimensions .

5. Tighten the 4 liftgate hinge-to-liftgate bolts.
- 11 Nm (97 lb-in)





6. Install and align the liftgate striker and bolts.

7. Install the liftgate scuff plate. REFER to Scuff Plate Trim Panel - 5-Door Hatchback, Luggage Compartment .
