Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Position aside the front door weatherstrip.





2. NOTE: The A-pillar trim panel is equipped with a 2-stage high-retention feature that is designed to prevent the A-pillar trim panel from striking the occupant in the event of a side air curtain deployment. The A-pillar trim panel 2-stage high-retention clip must be replaced when the A-pillar trim panel is serviced.
Remove the A-pillar trim panel.

1. Release the 2 A-pillar trim panel clips and release the A-pillar trim panel 2-stage high-retention clip from the trim panel.

2. Remove the A-pillar trim panel by lifting up and out.






Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Install a new A-pillar trim panel 2-stage high-retention retaining clip onto the A-pillar trim panel.
