Diagnostic Overview

A Single Mirror Is Inoperative - With Power Rear Windows

Refer to Wiring Diagram Set 124 for schematic and connector information Electrical Diagrams.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

Each exterior mirror shares a common circuit for both up/down and right/left movement.

Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE EXTERIOR MIRROR CONTROL SWITCH

1. Ignition OFF.

2. Disconnect: Master Window Control Switch C504A.

3. Disconnect: Master Window Control Switch C504B.

4. Disconnect: Master Window Control Switch C504C.

5. Carry out the Exterior Mirror Control Switch component test. REFER to Exterior Mirror Control Switch Testing and Inspection.

Did the exterior mirror control switch pass the component test?






2. CHECK THE LH (Left Hand) EXTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR MOTOR COMMON CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

1. Disconnect: LH (Left Hand) Exterior Mirror C521.

2. Measure:





Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?






3. CHECK THE RH (Right Hand) EXTERIOR REAR VIEW MIRROR MOTOR COMMON CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

1. Disconnect: RH (Right Hand) Exterior Mirror C626.

2. Measure:





Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
