Roof Opening Panel Motor Initialization

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

General Procedure

NOTE: Until the initialization procedure is complete, the one-touch open and one-touch close function is disabled.

NOTE: An initialization procedure that was interrupted or not completed can be started again after cycling the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON again.

1. Set the ignition to ON. For initializing an existing roof opening panel motor, skip to Step 5.

2. For a new roof opening panel motor, press and hold the front portion of the control switch until the roof opening panel glass moves slightly past the full VENT position (approximately 2 mm (0.0787 in)) and stops.

3. Quickly (within 0.5 second) release, then press and hold the front portion of the control switch while the roof opening panel glass move to the full OPEN position and then back to the full CLOSED position.

4. Release the switch and verify successful initialization by performing one-touch open and one-touch closed operations.

5. For an existing roof opening panel motor, press and hold the front portion of control switch until the roof opening panel glass moves to the full VENT position, then release the switch.

6. Press and hold the front portion of the control switch for approximately 30 seconds until the roof opening panel glass moves slightly past the full VENT position (approximately 2 mm (0.0787 in)) and stops.

7. Quickly (within 0.5 second) release, then press and hold the front portion of the control switch while the roof opening panel glass move to the full OPEN position and then back to the full CLOSED position.

8. Release the switch and verify successful initialization by performing one-touch open and one-touch closed operations.
