Parking Brake Control

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Exploded View

Removal

1. Remove the front floor console. REFER to Console - Front, Floor .

2. Vehicles without parking brake control boot.





3. Vehicles with parking brake control boot.





4. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Lifting Points .

- 48 Nm (35 lb-ft)

- 11 Nm (97 lb-in)

9. NOTE: Make sure the cable seal is fully seated.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

2. Before installing the front floor console, adjust the parking brake cables. REFER to Parking Brake Cable Adjustment - Drum Brakes or REFER to Parking Brake Cable Adjustment - Disc Brakes .
