Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)

Removal

1. Detach and disconnect the electrical connector and detach the wiring retainer.





2. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the sensor threads with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.
Using 303-476 (T94P-9472-A) remove the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor).

Installation

1. NOTE: Apply a light coat of High Temperature Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant to the threads of the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor).
Install the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor).

1. Calculate the correct torque wrench setting for the following torque. REFER to Torque Wrench Adapter Formulas .

- Tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

2. NOTICE: Make sure that the sensor wiring is routed away from hot surfaces and sharp edges or damage to the wiring may occur.

Connect and attach the electrical connector and connect the wiring retainer.
