Removal and Installation

All RH sensors

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

RH 3.5L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI) sensor

2. Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.
- Detach the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) electrical connector retainer from the bracket.

3. Remove the 4 retainers and the underbody shield.





4. Disconnect the LH HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) electrical connector.
- Detach the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) connector retainer from the bracket.






All sensors except GTDI (Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection)

5. Disconnect the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) electrical connector.

6. NOTE: If necessary, lubricate the sensor threads with penetrating and lock lubricant to assist in removal.
Using the Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor Socket, remove the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor).

- Calculate the correct torque wrench setting for the following torque.

- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).






7. NOTE: Apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
