Principles of Operation

One-Touch Down

The one-touch down function allows the LH door window glass to completely lower with one button press. When the window control switch is pressed, the one-touch down relay supplies voltage to the driver side window motor, lowering the window.

Heated Windshield

When the windshield defrost switch is pressed, a ground signal is provided to the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) heated windshield defrost input. The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) then supplies a ground to the left and right heated windshield relay coils. When activated, the left and right heated windshield relays supply voltage to the left and right heated windshield grids.

Rear Window Defrost

When the rear window defrost switch is pressed, a ground signal is provided to the GEM (Generic Electronic Module) rear defrost input. The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) then supplies a ground to the rear window defrost relay coil. When activated, the rear window defrost relay supplies voltage to the rear window defrost grids.
