ISSUE
Some 2013 Escape vehicles with 2.0L or 2.5L engine and built on or before 12/4/2012 may exhibit inaccurate or erratic distance to empty (DIE) indication, premature illumination of the low fuel warning lamp, excessive fuel reserve capacity which may reduce the perceived driving range.
ACTION
Reprogram the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) module to the latest calibration using IDS release 83.01 and higher. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage Warranty/ESP coverage limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. Warranty/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.
