Removal

REMOVAL




1. Remove engine cover.
2. Remove turbocharger heat shield.
3. Remove the catalytic converter to turbocharger elbow clamp.




4. Raise and support the vehicle.
5. Disconnect oxygen sensor electrical connector and remove oxygen sensor.
6. Remove temperature sensor tubing from catalytic converter.
7. Remove oxygen sensor.
8. Remove catalytic converter bracket bolt.




9. Saturate the clamp nuts with heat valve lubricant. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
10. Remove catalytic converter to diesel particulate filter clamp.
11. Remove the catalytic converter from diesel particulate filter.
12. Remove the catalytic converter assembly from the vehicle.
