Installation






INSTALLATION




1. Install the shift cable into the bracket on the shift lever assembly and install the retaining clip (1).
2. Install the transmission shift cable onto the ball knob (2) at the SLA.
3.




4. Connect the park lock cable coupling to the SLA. Press locking tab together and push coupling against the spring force into the SLA, twist through 90� (right or left) until locked.




5. Position the shift lever assembly (SLA) onto the vehicle.
6. Install the bolts (1) to hold the SLA to the vehicle. Tighten the bolts to 6 Nm (53 in.lbs.).
7. Connect all electrical connectors.
8. Turn on ignition and apply brakes. Move selector lever back to position "D".
9. Install the bottom of the center section of instrument panel.
10. Install the top of the center section of instrument panel.
