Removal






REMOVAL




1. Move selector lever to position "D".
2. Remove top section of the center section of instrument panel.
3. Remove bottom section of the center section of instrument panel.
4. Disconnect all electrical connectors.
5. Remove shift lever assembly mounting bolts (1).




6. Disconnect the park lock cable coupling from the shift lever assembly (SLA). Press locking tab together and push coupling against the spring force into the SLA, twist through 90� (right or left) and pull off.




Remove shift cable retaining clip (1).
7. Remove shift cable from shifter ball knob (2).
8. Remove the shifter (1).
