1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the nut (7) that secures the ball stud of the link (6) to the lever arm of the front axle sensor (5) located in the opening between the two pivot bushings of the left front suspension lower control arm (1).
4. Drill out the two blind rivets (3) that secure the sensor mounting bracket (2) to the crossmember (4).
5. Lower the sensor and bracket unit far enough to access and disconnect the vehicle wire harness connector from the sensor connector receptacle.
6. Remove the front axle sensor and mounting bracket from the vehicle as a unit.
