Installation






INSTALLATION




1. Install the steering column shaft to the vehicle (3).
2. Install the nuts (1&2) on the brackets of the steering column tube and install the steering shaft (3) to the instrument panel support. Tighten to 21 Nm (15 ft.lbs.).
3. Install the screws at the bulkhead (3). Tighten to 8 Nm (71 in.lbs.).
4. Install the coupler for the steering shaft to the steering gear (4). Tighten to 28 Nm (21 ft.lbs.).
5. Reconnect the electrical connector for the electric steering adjustment to the ESL control unit (2).
6. Reconnect the electrical connector for the steering angle sensor to the steering column (1).




7. Install the instrument cluster cover (1).




8. Install the instrument cluster (2).




9. Install the steering wheel (1).




10. Install the multifunction switch.
11. Install the clockspring (2).




12. Install the air outlet cover in the center part of the instrument panel.
13. Install the steering column opening cover (2).
