1. Disconnect batteries, remove air cleaner, crankcase ventilator tubes, secondary filter lines and secondary filter and adapter, if equipped.
2. Loosen vacuum pump bolts and rotate pump for access to manifold bolts.
3. Remove EGR/EPR valve bracket and A/C bracket, if equipped.
4. Remove intake manifold bolts, then the manifold. Injection line clips are retained by intake manifold bolts.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Refer to Fig. 9 for bolt torque and tightening sequence and Fig. 10 for fuel line installation. Gasket has opening for EGR on light duty application and insert to cover opening for heavy duty applications.
