Electronic Brake Control Module: Description and Operation

Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM):

The Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) mounts to a bracket next to the master cylinder. It contains a microprocessor and the software for system operation. During a severe brake application the EBCM controls the Antilock Pressure Valve (APV) to prevent the rear wheels from locking up. The EBCM receives input signals from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Buffer and stop lamp switch.
