THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO CORRECT YEAR UNDER PARTS INFORMATION PARAGRAPH. PLEASE DISCARD CORPORATE BULLETIN # 477109.
Beginning with 1994 model Start of Production (SOP). all HYDRA-MATIC 4L80-E/4L80-EHD transmissions are being built with a Holley variable pressure control solenoid (PCS). Because of differences in the electronic calibrations, the Holley and the Bosch variable pressure control solenoids are not interchangeable.
When servicing a variable pressure control solenoid (POS), it must be replaced with the same brand as the original.
