Cylinder Head Bolt Torque and Sequence
Cylinder Head Bolt Tightening Sequence:
Coat threads of the
cylinder head bolts with sealing compound (GM part number 1052080 or equivalent) and install finger-tight.
Tighten bolts in three steps using the sequence shown in image until the proper torque is reached:
Step 1.
30 n.m (25 lbs. ft.) Step 2.
60 n.m (45 lbs. ft.) Step 3.
92 n.m (65 lbs. ft.)
