Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MAP Sensor - Central MFI:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Electrical connector.
2. Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor attaching screws.
3. MAP sensor.

NOTE: The MAP sensor is an electrical component. Do NOT soak in any liquid cleaner or solvent, as damage may result.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Lubricate MAP sensor seal with clean engine oil.
2. MAP sensor.
3. MAP sensor attaching screws [1] and torque to 3.0 Nm (27 in lbs).
4. Electrical connector.

[1] Inspect the attaching screw threads for enough thread-locking material (adhesive or compound) on the threads to insure proper relocking. If not, clean the screw threads and apply Loctite 262, or equivalent, to the threads before reassembly.
