Starter Motor Replacement

Starter Motor Mounting:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
^ Raise the vehicle and support with safety stands.
2. Two bolts and shims (if equipped) holding the start or to the engine.
^ Lower the starter motor
3. Wires from the starter solenoid.
4. Starter motor from the vehicle.

Starter Motor Mounting:

INSTALL OR CONNECT
Make sure the inner solenoid terminal nuts are snug at the "B" and "S" terminals.
1. Wires to the solenoid terminals.
2. Outer nuts to the solenoid terminals.
3. Two bolts and shims through the starter to the engine.
Tighten
^ Starter mounting bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).
^ Lower the vehicle.
4. Negative battery cable.
