Replacement, Engine Overhaul





REMOVAL
1. Remove the engine front cover bolts.

NOTE: Do not reuse the composite front cover and gasket. A new front cover and gasket must be used.

2. Remove the engine front cover and gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate the crankshaft front oil seal surface with clean engine oil.

NOTE: Do not attempt to reuse the composite engine front cover and gasket. You must Install a new cover and gasket.

2. Install the engine front cover and gasket.
3. Install the engine front cover bolts.
- Tighten the engine front cover bolts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
