Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the cooling system.
3. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core.
4. Remove the instrument panel carrier.
5. Remove the floor air outlet.
6. Disconnect the heater system wiring harness from the heater module.
7. Remove the heater module retaining bolts.
8. Remove the heater module from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the heater module to the vehicle.
2. Install the heater module retaining bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the heater module retaining bolts to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

3. Connect the heater system wiring harness to the heater module.
4. Install the floor air outlet.
5. Remove the instrument panel carrier.
6. Connect the heater hoses to the heater core.
7. Fill the cooling system.
8. Connect the negative battery cable.
