The SET Function

Use the SET function in order to set the cruise control at a particular speed. Engage the SET function in the following manner:
1. Ensure that the vehicle speed is above the low speed point.
2. Place the ON/OFF switch in the ON position.
3. Depress and release the SET/COAST switch The cruise speed will be set within 1.6 km/h (1 mph) of the speed the vehicle was travelling when you released the button. The vehicle will continue to cruise until one of the following events occurs:
^ The ON/OFF switch is moved to the OFF position
^ The ignition switch is turned OFF
^ The SET/COAST switch is pushed in fully and held.

Depressing the brake pedal will also disengage the cruise control. However, when you use this method, the memory retains the set speed, allowing the cruise control function to resume at a later time.
