Data Link Connector: Description and Operation

A scan tool can connect to the Data Link Connector (DLC). The connection allows the scan tool to communicate with the following components:
^ The Vehicle Control Module
^ The Passlock Module
^ The Supplemental Inflatable Restraint Sensing Diagnostic Module
^ The Electronic Brake Control Module
^ The Automatic Transfer Case Shift Control Module
^ The Compass and Temperature Display Module in the Overhead Console

You can then monitor the system operations for the diagnostic purposes.
