Intermediate Shaft to Steering Gear Pinch Bolt 41 N.m (30 ft. lbs.)
Steering Gear to Frame Bolts (RWD) 75 N.m (55 ft. lbs.)
Steering Gear to Frame Bolts (AWD) 142 N.m (105 ft. lbs.)
Steering Gear Adjuster Lock Nut (8) 49 N.m (36 ft. lbs.)
Rack Piston Guide Clamp Screw (21) 58 N.m (43 inch lbs.)
Rack Piston Plug (27) 150 N.m (111 ft. lbs.)
Coupling Shield Retainer and Lock Nut (48) 109 N.m (80 ft. lbs.)


Adjustment Tightening Specification:
Pitman Shaft Over-Center Preload (40) * 0.7-1.1 N.m (6-10 inch lbs.)
Steering Gear Adjuster Nut Assembly (65) 30 N.m (22 ft. lbs.)

* The amount shown is in addition to worm shaft thrust bearing preload and valve and seal drag.
