Crankshaft Position Sensor Reluctor Ring Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Removal 21. Engine Front Cover Removal in Engine Mechanical.




3. Remove the CKP sensor reluctor ring (3) from the crankshaft (2).

Installation Procedure





Important: Inspect the crankshaft key for burrs or nicks. Replace the key if necessary.


1. Install the CKP sensor reluctor ring (3) to the crankshaft (2).
2. Install the engine front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Removal 21. Engine Front Cover Removal in Engine Mechanical.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
