Keyless Entry Receiver: Service and Repair
REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the bolts that retain the instrument panel center support bracket to the steering column bracket (1).
2. Remove the bolt (3) that retains the reinforcement to the instrument panel center support bracket.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the remote control door lock receiver.
4. Remove the instrument panel center support bracket (4).
5. Remove the remote control door lock receiver retainer (3).
6. Remove the remote control door lock receiver (2) from the instrument panel center support bracket.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the remote control door lock receiver (2) to the instrument panel center support bracket.
2. Install the remote control door lock receiver retainer (3).
3. Connect the electrical connector to the remote control door lock receiver.
4. Install the instrument panel center support bracket (4).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
5. Install the bolt (3) that retains the reinforcement to the instrument panel center support bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
6. Install the bolts (2) that retain the instrument panel center support bracket to the steering column bracket (1).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 65 N.m (47 lb ft).
