Steering Gear Protection Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure






Notice: Refer to Rear Wheel Steering Lifting and Jacking Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the bolts (3) retaining the steering gear protection shield to the steering gear.
3. Remove the steering gear protection shield from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the steering gear protection shield to the steering gear.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the steering gear protection shield retaining bolts (3) to the steering gear.
^ Tighten the bolts to 180 Nm (132 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Perform a four wheel alignment.
