Backup Lamp: Service and Repair



BACKUP LAMP REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the liftgate interior trim panel.
2. Disconnect the backup lamp assembly electrical connector.
3. Remove the screw (1) securing the lamp assembly bracket (2) to the rear auxiliary back up lamp assembly.
4. Remove the bracket.




5. Remove the auxiliary back up lamp assembly nuts (1).
6. Disconnect the backup lamp bulb socket (2) and bulb (3).




7. Pull the backup lamp assembly (2) from the outer liftgate filler panel.
8. Remove the lamp assembly gasket (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the backup lamp gasket (1) to the auxiliary back up lamp assembly (2).
2. Insert the backup lamp assembly into the holes in the outer liftgate filler panel.

3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.




Install the nuts (1). 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Install the bulb (3) into the bulb socket (2).
5. Install the bulb assembly into the lamp.




6. Position the auxiliary backup lamp bracket (2) onto the backup lamp assembly.
7. Install the screw (1).2 N.m(18 lb in).

8. Connect the backup lamp assembly electrical connector.
9. Install the interior liftgate trim panel.
