Electric Motor Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
2. Remove the engine protection shield (EPS).




3. Remove the electrical connector.




4. Remove the electric motor actuator.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice.

Important: Apply TEFLON(TM) tape to the threads of the electric actuator motor before installation.

1. Install the electric motor actuator.

Tighten the electric motor actuator to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).




2. Install the electrical connector.




3. Install the EPS.
4. Lower the vehicle.
