Bracket Replacement (2500)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the differential carrier assembly.
3. Remove the air conditioning compressor for the 4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines.




4. Remove the nuts and the washers from the bracket.
5. Remove the bracket from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the bracket to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the washers and the nuts to the bracket.

Tighten the bracket to frame nuts to 90 N.m (67 lb ft).

3. Install the air conditioning compressor for the 4.8 L, 5.3 L and 6.0 L engines.
4. Install the differential carrier assembly.
5. Lower the vehicle.
