Ignition Coil Replacement - Bank 1

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the underhood bussed electrical center (UBEC).
2. Remove the body wiring harness (1) /engine wiring harness (2) electrical connection clip from the UBEC bracket.




3. Remove the UBEC bracket bolt (1) and nuts (3).
4. Remove the UBEC bracket (2) and reposition out of the way.




5. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (1) from the ignition coil(s) (4).




6. Remove the ignition coil bolt(s).
7. Remove the ignition coil(s).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the ignition coil(s).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the ignition coil bolt(s).

Tighten the bolt(s) to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector(s) (1) to the ignition coil(s) (4).




4. Position and install the UBEC bracket (2).
5. Install the UBEC bracket bolt (1) and nuts (3).

Tighten the bolt/nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




6. Install the body wiring harness (1) /engine wiring harness (2) electrical connection clip to the UBEC bracket.
7. Install the UBEC.
