Mode Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Air Conditioning and Heater Module Assembly Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the screws from the HVAC module assembly.
3. Remove the screw from the mode cam.
4. Remove the mode cam from the HVAC module assembly.




5. Separate the HVAC module assembly halves (1 and 4).
6. Remove the mode door linkage from the mode door.
7. Remove the mode door (1) from the HVAC module assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the mode door to the HVAC module assembly.
2. Install the mode door linkage to the mode door.
3. Assemble the HVAC module assembly halves (1 and 4).
4. Install the mode cam to the HVAC module assembly.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

5. Install the mode cam screw. Tighten the screw to 1.9 Nm (18 lb in).
6. Install the screws to the HVAC module assembly. Tighten the screws to 1.9 Nm (18 lb in).
7. Install the HVAC module assembly. Refer to Air Conditioning and Heater Module Assembly Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
